| Dr. Fred S. Ferguson
Dr.
Fred S. Ferguson is Professor of Pediatric Dentistry,
School of Dental Medicine Department of Children's Dentistry
and Associate Professor of Pediatric Medicine University
Hospital, Stony Brook
University. At Stony Brook, he is the director of
the Dental Care for the Developmentally Disabled Program,
the Pediatric Dental Infectious Disease Program, and the
Carniofacial Cleft Palate Center.
Since 1975, his career focus has been education and training of dental and postgraduate students, dentists, and medical professionals of different specialties in pediatric oral health and care.
Dr. Ferguson has directed several oral health programs for children and adults with special medical and developmental needs. He has an active history in community service. His professional experience includes membership in national dental organizations and an extensive history of
presentations to professional and consumers. His publications include original journal articles and abstracts and an internationally recognized web site. He has provided
consultation services for several private and public companies. He has maintained an active private practice in pediatric dentistry since 1975.
He received his BS at the
University of Maryland (69), DDS from
Howard University (73), and completed residency training in pediatric dentistry at the
University of Connecticut (75). He is a diplomat of the
American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, member of the
American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and associate member of the
American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Denise A. Trochesset
Denise A Trochesset, DDS is an
Assistant Professor of Oral Biology and Pathology at
Stony Brook
University School of Dental Medicine, where she is
Director of Oral Pathology. Dr. Trochesset is jointly
appointed in the Departments of Pathology and Dermatology at
Stony Brook University School of Medicine.
Dr. Trochesset is a graduate of the
University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. She completed
a one year General Practice Residency at the West Haven
Veterans Administration Medical Center in Connecticut prior
to working in private practice for ten years. Dr. Trochesset left private practice to pursue her interests in
oral pathology. She completed a three year residency in
Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology prior to joining the Stony
Brook Staff.
Dr. Trochesset is currently a full time
faculty member at Stony Brook teaching Oral Pathology and
Oral Medicine to the undergraduate dental students and the
post graduate programs. She is Director of Stony Brook Oral
Pathology, a biopsy service, and has an active faculty
practice in Oral Medicine.
Dr.
Ramiz Chaudhry
Ramiz
Chaudhry, DDS is a resident in the Department of
Periodontics and Implantology at
Stony Brook
University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr.
Chaudhry is a graduate of
Stony Brook
University School of Dental Medicine. He is the past
president of his class and
Minorities Student Dental Association (MSDA). His
research interests include; Diabetes and Periodontal
disease, and Periodontal health and
CEREC restorations.
Lizette
Hinojosa
Lizette
Hinojosa received her Bachelor of Science in Developmental
Biology at Stony Brook
University in 2004. After graduation she was
accepted into the Health Career Opportunity Program, Future
Dentists of America, at Temple University, Philadelphia.
There she worked along side dentists helping patients in
Temple University's inner city clinics. She is
currently a member of the class of 2009 a the School of
Dental Medicine, Stony Brook University.
